My thanks to Grand Master Gee

Along the lines of Hung Gun Biu and the Hung Fa Yi lineage I have been thinking a lot lately about the HFY approach to combat and how you can apply this approach to different aspects of your life.
Within the HFY approach to combat there is a concept called the Ng Loon Ying Jong Faat. This has been written about on the forum in other areas. My understanding in a nutshell is this, in any environment understand how best to proceed within structure. That structure then gives you the ability to influence the situation and come to a resolution. If you don’t have structure do what you need to do short term to either find/establish structure or get back a point of structure.
I have found that the concept of the Ng Loon Ying Jong Faat and it’s application to combat has really influenced how I approach any interaction. I have been using my understanding of this concept along with many other concepts passed on to me from Grand Master Garret Gee in the approach I have taken as I start a new consulting company. So far things have been very good with the new company and I wanted to take the time to personally thank GM Gee for sharing the Hung Fa Yi lineage as passed down through Hung Gun Biu. Thank you Sifu Gee for all that you have shared!

Respectfully,
Matt

Hi Matt,

Thank you for the very nice post. I compeletely agree with you, imo, GM Garrett Gee is one of the greatest martial arts master of our time. He has inspired Martial Artists all over the world from the U.S. to Brazil and from Europe to Hong Kong. Martial Artists around the world have come to learn the precise Hung Fa Yi wing chun from GM Gee who has preserved this system for many decades.

Since GM Gee is not a member of this forum, on his behalf, he would like me to speak for him, GM Gee would like to express his gratitude for your kind words, and wish you a successful future with your company.

Best regards
Bruce
